A anesthesiologist was condemned to 3 years of prison, being deprived to practice 3 years, for killing a patient by negligence, reads a communique by the general prosecutor's office, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The anesthesiologist, aged 46, was employed by a Research Institute in the field of protecting mothers and children. According to the prosecutors, on November 10, 2006, the condemned administered anesthetics to patient that was to be operated on the uterus. Then the doctor left the room leaving the patient unattended. Soon she died after a heart stroke. The victim was 28 and a mother of 2, aged then 2 years and one month. A Chisinau court decided that the condemned pays 200,000 lei in compensation to the victim's representative. The sentence can be appealed.
