Two Moldovan footballers will play in the Premier League of Bahrain for the first time. Halfback Valeriu Andronic and striker Victor Gonta signed for Malkiya, which ranks ninth after nine stages played. The contract is valid up to the end of the current season, IPN reports.
“We are satisfied. The team is good and we will make effort to help it climb in the rankings,” Valeriu Andronic has told IPN.
Former international Valeriu Andronic, 32, so far has played for teams from seven countries, namely Romania, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. He played 38 matches for the national team of Moldova and scored four goals for it.
For his part, Victor Gonta played in the championship of Azerbaijan. Gonta and Andronic were colleagues at Veris the previous season.
