Moldova’s javelin thrower Andrian Mardare took the 7th place in his debut at a European championship event, IPN reports.
Mardare threw his javelin 81.54 meters in the final on Berlin’s Olympiastadion. This was better than his qualification best of 80.46 meters which secured him a place in the final, yet much under his own national record of 84.43 meters.
Germany’s Thomas Roler claimed the gold by throwing his javelin 89.47 meters.
