The Moldovan javelin thrower Andrian Mardare has ranked 7th at the European Athletics Championships in Munich, the biggest multi-sport event since the 1972 Olympic Games.
The 27-year-old produced a best throw of 77.49 meters.
The gold was won by Germany’s Julian Weber (87.66), followed by Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic (87.28) and Finland’s Lassi Etelatalo (86.44).
Andrian Mardare also finished in seventh place at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
