Moldovan athlete Andrian Mardare has qualified for the final of the javelin throw event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, achieving the result of 84.13 meters, IPN reports.
The Moldovan athlete ranked fifth in group B, out of a total of 16 participants. The best result in this group was achieved by Chopra Neeraj of India - 89.34 meters.
The best season result of the athlete from Ungheni is 83.68 meters, while his personal best is 86.66 meters. The Olympic record is held by Norway’s Andrees Thorkildsen - 90.57 meters.
The final in which Andrian Mardare will fight for the medal along with 11 other athletes will take place on August 8, starting at 09:25 p.m.
