Head of Parliament Andrian Candu will be paying a working visit to Prague in the Czech Republic on March 30-31. The visit is made at the invitation of his Czech counterpart Jan Hamáček. The Speaker will have a number of meetings with Czech MPs and ministers, IPN reports, quoting the Parliament’s press service.
According to the program of the visit, Andrian Candu will meet with the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Jan Hamáček, President of the Senate Milan Štěch, Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies Karel Schwarzenberg.
The visit forms part of the efforts made to develop interparliamentary cooperation in support of Moldova’s European integration. The Czech Parliament is among the first national legislative bodies in the European Union that ratified the Moldova – EU Association Agreement.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček paid an official visit to Moldova in 2014, expressing thus the Czech authorities’ support for the European integration efforts of Moldova.
