Andrian Candu on working visits to Bucharest and Brussels

Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu is paying working visits to Bucharest and Brussels during June 13-16, IPN reports, quoting the legislature’s press office.

In Bucharest, Andrian Candu will have meetings with the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos and President of the Senate Calin Popescu-Tariceanu.

In Brussels, the Speaker will meet with the President of the Senate of Belgium Christine Defraigne, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok, Director General for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy at the European Commission Christian Danielsson, Head of the Division for Bilateral Relations with the Eastern Neighborhood Countries in the European External Action Service Dirk Schuebel, and Secretary General of the European External Action Service Alain Le Roy.

Andrian Candu will also take part in an official dinner given in his honor by Their Royal Highnesses, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium.

Among the main subjects that will be discussed in the meetings are the strengthening of strategic bilateral partnerships, intensification of interinstitutional cooperation and confirmation of the external support for the Republic of Moldova.
