Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, vice president of the Democratic Party, said he voted for all the good projects and deeds, noting that all the done good things, the First House, the Good Roads, the rises in salaries and pensions, in medicine and education, should continue. The official made the statement after casting his vote, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu told the journalists who were waited for him at the exit of the poling place that he voted for the best party team, of the PDM, and for Mihai Stratulat, the Democrats’ candidate in the constituency where he has his domicile. “I urge all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to vote as the country‘s future is decided today,” he stated.
Asked by journalists how many seats he expects the PDM would win, Andrian Candu answered that as many seats as possible so as to form a parliamentary majority and to swiftly form a Government and to ensure stability and development in the country. “We are preparing after the elections to have discussions with all those who are represented in Parliament, who agree with the government program for the citizens and the country and for its development,” he said.
The Speaker expressed his confidence that the people of the Republic of Moldova will appreciate what the PDM already did and intends to do.
