Andrian Candu about future Pro Moldova party, accusations about external financing and cooperation between PDM and PSRM

The Pro Moldova group that consists of the six MPs who left the Democratic Party will resort to the collection of funds, donations, sponsorships and own investments so as to cope with the costs associated with the future activity. The leader of the six MPs Andrian Candu said the group now does not have financing, but also does not incur costs. The MP said this in reply to former party mates who asserted publicly that the group is financed with foreign funds, IPN reports.

“When you want to attack and are not satisfied with something and especially have an opponent in our person, and following the dissentions inside the Democratic Party owing to the imposition of particular views and actions with which we didn’t agree, it’s easier to make accusations. You think that the people do not like, for example, hearing about Shor, Plahotniuc and it’s easier to put stamps to destroy a project,” Candu stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.

As to the fact that the Democratic Party cooperates with the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, Candu said there were preconditions, information and rumors about this inside the party.

“It’s known at internal level that there were many discussions and many phone calls, there were many messages, meetings, telephone discussions, SMEes. I refer to the administration of the Democratic Party and of the Party of Socialists, to the Prime Minister and the President. But ultimately it is their internal decision about what and how they want to do. If they want to form a coalition with the PSRM, they can do it, but should assume this thing,” added Candu.

As to the future center-right Pro Moldova Party, Andrian Candu said this will be based on a social-liberal doctrine with elements of patriotism, traditionalism and everything that is related to Moldova.

Six MPs on February 19 left the Democratic Party and its parliamentary group. These are Andrian Candu, Sergiu Sîrbu, Vladimir Cebotari, Eleonora Graur, Corneliu Padnevici and Grigore Repeshchuk.
