The member of the Democratic Party (PDM) Andrei Popov criticizes the party of which he forms part for the way in which the parliamentary coalition was formed and the Filip Government was voted in. He made related statements in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“I’m ashamed of the way in which the parliamentary alliance was formed and the Filip Government was voted in in. I disagree with many of the party’s actions. I don’t think the parliamentary collation that was formed represents the people’s vote of November 30, 2015. I do not agree with the dismissal of the Strelet Government, the arrest of Filat and of the Petrenko group. The personal interests, not the country’s interests prevail in the party,” stated Popov.
He accused the administration of the PDM of the party’s low rating. “The party’s doctrine can enable us to have even 40% of the seats, but we have an incompetent administration, which should be changed. The party’s chairman Marian Lupu is a weak person. Vlad Plahotniuc is powerful and has many accomplishments in life, but he is not liked by the people,” added the Democratic.
Andrei Popov is also not satisfied with the voting in of Pavel Filip as Prime Minister. “I know Mister Filip. He is a good manager, but is not a politician. Another candidate should have been nominated for premiership,” he said.
On the last day of 2015, diplomat Andrei Popov vacated the post of member of the National Political Council of the Democratic Party.
