Andrei Năstase: What is going on at present means usurpation of state power

The leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase, minister of the interior in the Sandu Government, said the situation in which Moldova is now can be called usurpation of the state power. The issue was developed in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.

According to him, the first episode of the usurpation of power occurred much earlier, when the posts were divided between politicians. A new episode was witnessed now and a narrow group of people will answer for it. The judges of the Constitutional Court are among these. “If these judges do not swiftly review their decisions, they will go to jail,” stated the politician.

“Moldova is currently seeing a putsch to which the administration of the police is an accomplice. There is a group that does not want to concede power”.

Andrei Năstase noted that this ambiguous situation in which a parliamentary majesty was formed, but this is not recognized by the Constitutional Court, will persist. “We are criticized for an alliance with the Socialists with whom we want to free the country from oligarchs, but no one looks further to see that coalition between Plahotniuc, Shor and the so-called independents. Why Oleinic, Shor do not come to Parliament?” he asked.

As to his running in the local mayoral elections in Chisinau municipality, the politician said he feels obliged to return to the citizens of Chisinau, but he would also like to complete his duties as minister of the interior. “As the date of the local elections hasn’t been yet set and we entered this war, let me complete my duties or at least lay the foundations of a proper Ministry of the Interior,” he stated.
