The Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” started to get ready for the legislative elections, the party’s leader Andrei Nastase said in a press beefing after the second congress of the party, IPN reports.
“We started to prepare for the parliamentary elections, either early or ordinary, and it is important that the current government should get into garbage bin of history,” stated Andrei Nastase.
In the congress, the participants adopted a resolution by which they noted that the evolution towards an authoritarian state with the concentration of financial, administrative and media resources in the hands of an oligarch should be stopped in the Republic of Moldova. The fundamental rights of the people and the freedom of the media should be immediately restored, while the division of society by ethnical and geopolitical criteria should be prevented.
“The Republic of Moldova needs a new really pro-European government that would implement real and concrete reforms designed inclusively to fight corruption and social cleavages so that the people no longer have to choose the way of exodus,” reads the resolution.
The party members for 2017 set the objectives of more actively promoting the party’s initiatives aimed at fighting ‘criminal schemes’ in the national economy, implementing reforms in different areas in order to modernize Moldova by the European model, in the interest of all the people, maximizing involvement to prevent the government from distracting the people’s attention from the real internal problems of the country to an artificial geopolitical confrontation, making effort to create a democratic and anti-oligarchic political pole based on European values, alongside other political forces and civil society.
Among the priorities are also the intensification of dialogue with foreign partners in order to provide real information about the sociopolitical situation in the country, preventing the modification of the election system and adoption of the capital amnesty law in the form proposed by the government, initiation of a referendum on the annulment of the law whereby the repayment of the money stolen from the banking system is made the people’s burden and causing of early parliamentary elections.
