The Platform “Dignity and Truth” is for fielding a common candidate of the democratic forces of the right for the presidency of Moldova, the leader of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase said in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.

“We support Maia Sandu’s proposal to agree a common candidate so as not to segment the voters of the right. But we haven’t yet chosen a candidate. We will have discussions and will decide,” stated Nastase.

Asked if he would accept the candidacy of Maia Sandu, Nastase said this will happen in particular conditions. “We will analyze things thoroughly. If this is candidate with the biggest chances of winning and has the same position as ours, we will support her. For us, it is very important to win the presidential elections so as to be able to bring the oligarchic regime to an end,” he stated.

The politician also said that he will insist on the constitutional referendum concerning the method of electing and dismissing the Head of State, despite the Constitutional Court’s Judgment of March 4. “The Court’s decision for me is unconstitutional. This is a good change that was expected by the people, but it shouldn’t have been made this way. The text we suggested is different. Moreover, there are two more questions - about the parliamentary immunity and the reduction in the number of MPs,” said Nastase.
