Andrei Năstase: Shouting “Dodon, resign” is provocation against people

“Solutions, action, solidarity, dignity, truth and less sterile rhetoric that does not help at all are needed,” president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Andrei Năstase stated in connection with discussions held on the removal of the Government and holding of snap parliamentary elections.

“Shouting “Dodon, resign” is a provocation against the people who understand very well that Dodon will never resign. He must be helped to resign. We must initiate the procedure for suspending him, start the parliamentary investigation procedure and insist on criminal cases so that Dodon and the Party of Socialists one day move to the opposition, where they can reform themselves and do something good for democracy,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1.

Andrei Năstase said the PPPDA and the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) should return to the old format of the ACUM Bloc and together look for the votes needed to change the political situation in the country.

“The PPPDA and PAS, who earlier formed the ACUM Bloc at my and my party’s insistence, should now combine forces and show that they can have a motion signed by 26 MPs and should work together to find the necessary votes,” stated the politician.

He made reference to last year’s events as a result of which things in Moldovan politics changed. “We had a common, consolidated attitude and our common position was a point of attraction for others too. Only by being united, we managed to have a pro-European, reformist, anti-corruption Government that, regrettably, didn’t work long”.
