Alexandru Slusari or Igor Munteanu are two candidates for the post of Prime Minister on behalf of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA). For the posts of ministers, the party has by two-three candidates, the party’s leader Andrei Năstase announced in the talk show “Key Issue” on NTV Moldova channel.
Andrei Năstase noted the two are the most suitable candidates for premiership. He will not apply for this post as he knows for sure that he will run in the presidential elections.
The politician said the current situation in healthcare, economy and the social sphere in Moldova represents a general crisis. This crisis can be overcome only if a national political consensus is reached.
The leader of the PPPDA stated he hopes that 60-70 MPs will vote in favor of the Government that they are ready to assume. “I hope 60-70 MPs will vote for the new Government as leaving the country in chaos is a crime,” he said, noting he is sure the MPs realize that the country is in a crisis and the current Government cannot solve it and should leave.
The politician stated that the Government of the PPPDA will make sure to have access to European resources and will undertake the best practices of other countries so as to overcome the crisis in the healthcare sector.
At least 51 votes are needed to dismiss the current Government and to name a new one. The PPPDA has 11 seats of MP, while the Party of Action and Solidarity 15 seats.
