The co-president of the electoral bloc ACUM Andrei Năstase noted the reports coming from constituencies say the parliamentary elections are being massively rigged. According to him, the transportation of a large number of people from Transnistria to polling places for money, organized bringing of people who would vote for the Democratic Party for money, massive corruption and hundreds of temporary residences made in February are all unprecedented in Moldova, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”.
Andrei Năstase said in constituency No. 33 Chisinau municipality, where he runs, people from other constituencies are brought to vote on additional lists. “Moldova is now under the siege of those who stage the largest operation to rig the people’s vote that was ever organized in the Republic of Moldova. The independent media signaled this large-scale operation early this morning first. Thousands of people are brought by buses and minibuses from Transnistria and are paid by US$ 20 to vote for several times in favor of mafia members and criminals. This happens at a time when our diaspora is hampered to vote. The goal is to annex Moldova to the former Soviet area and to rig the elections so as to legalize the dictatorship and the criminals who now control Moldova,” stated the politician.
“We proved in 2018 that it is possible, that we can win. We went massively to vote and we beat the propaganda, manipulation and lie. I call on you to vote! I call on you to support democracy that is now in a serious danger. We can win! We can vote more than they can steal! Don’t stay a home. Go and vote together with your relatives and close ones and offer a future alongside the European Union to Chisinau and Moldova. Offer the future generations reasons for not leaving the country. Go and vote so that we get rid of them! Go and vote as today is the day when we do justice ourselves!”
