The candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase promises that when he is elected mayor of Chisinau, he will remove the barriers that were abusively set up in public places. In a news conference given near the head office of the Democratic Party, Andrei Nastase said this is an example of appropriation of public streets by abusively setting up barriers and hampering the people’s free access, IPN reports.
“The vehicle barriers installed in the elite quarters of the capital city aren’t a new phenomenon. In 2010 first, the public opinion was informed by press investigations that the rich people of the impoverished Moldova limit the access to some of the streets in the municipality by installing barriers and now also by installing reflector poles. After the public opinion was sensitized, the barrier on Bulgara St, where the coordinator of all evil things in the Republic of Moldova, Plahotniuc, lives, this was removed for half a year, but was then restored,” stated Andrei Nastase.
According to him, such barriers have been also put in on Ciocarliei St, where the residence of the Voronin family is, on Valentin Gutu St, near the house of the former head of the National Integrity Commission Anatol Donciu, and near the castle of Iurie Luncasu, the business partner of Plahotniuc. There are at least 25 barriers installed illegally in elite quarters. “After they robbed the country, the thieves now need quietness, while those who were robbed are not allowed to at least walk peacefully on the streets and in public areas,” said the candidate, noting the people seem to have been stormed.
The politician also said that the members of the Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council headed by his opponent Ion Ceban keep silent and avoid dealing with such unordinary cases. “Dear inhabitants of Chisinau, I promise with full responsibility that as the mayor of Chisinau municipality, I will make sure that the city is returned to the citizens so that it is a city of everyone where we will not have fences, illegally installed barriers by which the thieves of this state humiliate us as all the people should be equal before the law, in Chisinau and all over the country,” stated Andrei Nastase.
