The head of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) Andrei Nastase said the delay in taking steps to form a bloc with the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) of Maia Sandu is due to the difficulties experienced in building a bloc based on integrity, professionalism and character. He developed the issue in the program “Politics” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.
The leader of the PPPDA admits that he could have managed things much better. “The delay is due to the fact that there are two parties that have the same objectives, desiderata and hopes, but different people who have particular reserves. It is not so easy to build a bloc that you want to be based on integrity, professionalism and character,” stated Andrei Nastase. According to him, the building of such a bloc lasts longer because it implies the working out of clear mechanisms for appointing people to posts.
The politician said the discussions on the creation of the bloc will be resumed when Maia Sandu returns from her visit to Brussels. “If this does not happen during the next few weeks and things go on as at the presidential elections, I will be the one who will stop everything,” he stated.
He also said that the PPPDA and the PAS signed a cooperation agreement that envisions parity, equality and reciprocity. “Both of the camps will insist on integrity, professionalism, character, resistance and capacity to struggle and to make policies and norms. The teams of the PPPDA and PAS are well-intentioned and a day will come when a better presentation will be staged before the public,” said Andrei Nastase.
