Andrei Năstase: Incompetence of current government goes beyond any limit

The founding president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Andrei Năstase is skeptical about the performance of the current government and considers that the Gavrilița Government is fully inefficient. He said the country is badly managed by the current administration and the merit for the correct management of the refugee crisis belongs to the citizens not to the authorities. Things in Parliament are not better even if there is a majority of 63 MPs, but these cannot generate legislative proposals for improving the people’s life, IPN reports.

The party’s founding president expressed his disappointment with the way in which the PAS government manages the current economic and security crisis. He believes the Gavrilița Government works inefficiently and is steered by political interests.

“The incompetence of this Government goes beyond any limit and this incompetence is detrimental to the population. We haven’t witnessed such disregard in the Republic of Moldova for a long time. The situation is catastrophic. The people no longer have trust in tomorrow. They do not have incomes that would enable them to pay for gas, for electrical energy. And what is worst is that fear was instilled in our society and this is serious. In the countries that are directly involved in the war things go better than in the Republic of Moldova from economic viewpoint. Not even Ukraine has such inflation. The countries in the East and the West manage the crises much better. In our countries, our administration considers politics is at the forefront even in times of plague,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Freedom with Dorin Galben” on TV8 channel.

Andrei Năstase said the PAS government named persons obedient to the party to important state posts, but these are not competent and proficient. The PPPDA group of the former legislature was much better prepared than the current PAS MPs.

“The Prime Minister and the President, and in parts the Speaker as this is the president of PAS that has an overwhelming majority of 63 seats, are the senior persons responsible in this country. These MPs do not work, do not draft bills. The refugee crises rediscovered us as a nation. But the people did what they did. What the authorities did was political PR, including the dispute with the mayor of Chisinau. We know it is hard to manage a crisis like the one through which we go, but there is too much incompetence and not only at the central level. There are persons named to posts in state institutions who do not know what to do,” stated Andrei Năstase.

Earlier, ex-Premier Ion Sturza also said that there are Government departments that need staff changes, like the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
