The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase promises to ease road traffic by extending Albisoara St up to Mesager St. In a news conference on May 2, Andrei Nastase said the budget of the project will not exceed 200 million lei and the necessary funds will be identified following the correct management of municipal property, IPN reports.
According to the candidate, the building of 3.5 km of road, from Albisoara St up to Mesager St, will solve the problem of road traffic near the rotary at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Ion Creanga St. The traffic to Soseaua Balcani, Mihai Viteazul and Calea Iesilor St will also be eased.
The extension of Albisoara St is one of the first solutions proposed by the candidates for fluidizing traffic. “The road traffic is a serious problem in Chisinau municipality. It takes a lot of time to get from one point to another one in the capital city,” stated Andrei Nastase.
The candidate also said that urgent measures are needed to solve the problem of traffic jams in Chisinau and a new general urban development plan is required.
