Andrei Năstase: ACUM won parliamentary elections

The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase said that analyzing the final election outcome with maximum objectivity and assessing the huge impact of the rigging operation on the results, the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS can say that it won the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, IPN reports.

“We ascertained everyone, regardless of our civic and political approaches, that the blackest page in Moldova’s electoral history was written yesterday, What happened yesterday seems to be unreal for any analyst or neutral observer who can decipher the electoral language. Thousands of people were brought from Transnistria to vote for US$20 for several times, on additional lists, at different polling stations,” the co-president of the electoral bloc ACUM stated in a press briefing.

Andrei Năstase also said that the electoral bloc ACUM won the parliamentary elections and the beneficiaries of the electoral fraud witnessed yesterday believe they will escape this time as well. But the parliamentary election rigging will be the subject of a detailed and transparent investigation into the premediated events and facts and those to blame will be held accountable. “From this moment, according to the decision of the free, honest, just and courageous people of the Republic of Moldova, we, those from ACUM, received a firm mandate to do what needs to be done. We must do justice and will do it! We will start with the file of yesterday’s elections,” stated Andrei Năstase.

The bloc’s co-president Maia Sandu thanked all the voters in the country and abroad who, despite all the obstacles, threats and manipulation, went to vote. “The PD-PSRM regime wanted to fully annul the voices of democracy in the country and outside it. But you resisted and showed that you are a powerful force against dictatorship. We thank our teams and the people who didn’t sleep for many nights, who spent a lot of time campaigning and went through mud and cold to reach as many people as possible,” stated Maia Sandu.

The leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” said the bloc ACUM does not recognize these elections as free and fair. Representatives of the party continue to collect information and evidence of the frauds committed on the election day. More violations besides the ones reported yesterday were reported last night.

The electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS won 26.58% of the poll on February 24.
