Andrei Gorban eliminated from Moscow tournament

Moldovan tennis player Andrei Gorban was knocked out in the second qualifying round of the Kremlin Cup international tournament held under the aegis of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Info-Prim Neo reports. In the first round, Gorban defeated Russia's Roman Kislianskii by 6-2, 6-2, but was then beaten by Ukraine's Serghei Stakhovsky by 3-6, 3-6. Andrei Gorban, 26, has the best position in the ATR standings among Moldovan tennis players. He is now ranked the 524th. Other Moldovan players present in the standings include Roman Tudoreanu (775th), Radu Albot (886th), and Andrei Ciumac (1 219th).
