The Government of Moldova aims to restore the good relations with Russia, but will not abandon the path to European integration, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur said in the talk show “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.

The minister noted that he pleads for a continuous dialogue with Russia. “Relations that should be long-lasting cannot be restored as a result of one discussion only. A dialogue is needed and this should be continued. We will take stock of the bilateral Moldovan-Russian relations thus far,” he stated.

Andrei Galbur noted that the dialogue with Moscow will be developed not only by diplomatic ways, but also by other methods. “The institutions from all the areas should become involved so that we establish cooperation relations with Russia, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Economy, so that we have a complex dialogue on all the segments,” he stated.

He also said that the dialogue with Moscow does not mean that the Government of Moldova gives up the European course.
