Andrei Galbur to be Moldova's Ambassador to Russia

Moldova will appoint Andrei Galbur as its new Ambassador to Russia, Prime Minister Vlad Filat announced at a news conference Monday evening. “As I promised to you on numerous occasions, Moldova's new ambassador to Russia will be a career diplomat. Andrei Galbur has been serving within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration since 1995. He is rather young, but has a fair work experience”, Filat told reporters. Prior to his appointment, Andrei Galbur, 38, served as department head at the MFAEI. The post fell vacant after Galbur's predecessor Andrei Neguta was recalled in April for statements deemed incompatible with his mission.
