Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Galbur addressed a congratulatory message to his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ press service, Andrei Galbur highlighted the positive dynamics witnessed in the dialogue between the two states in the recent past and the readiness to call a meeting of the joint commission for economic cooperation in the near future.

In his message, the minister says that the given treaty is a solid basis for stimulating the political dialogue, developing commercial and economic exchanges and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two states.

The Moldovan official underlined the important role played by the Russian Federation in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, on the basis of the respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.

Andrei Galbur voiced hope that the mutually advantageous Moldovan-Russian cooperation will further develop as a strategic partnership.
