Anatol Munteanu presents electoral offer and team

Next week, the candidate to a seat in the Romanian parliament, Anatol Munteanu, will present his electoral offer team in Chisinau. According to an interview by the candidate, 12 years ago he was forced by circumstances to leave Moldova for Romania. “I left not because I wanted so. I was threatened and harassed by Russian intelligence services and the Agrarian administration {(Democratic Agrarian Party from Moldova – e.n..)}. And, after numerous betrayals and disappointments from those I had helped before, weapon in my hands, after they came to power in the first years after independence, I understood I could do nothing in Moldova and I was of more use in Romania, than “lost” or “missing” somewhere in Transnistria,” Anatol Munteanu specified. Before retreating to Romania, Munteanu was known in Chisinau's politics as a participant in the Transnistrian, during the years of national revival in the early 90s. According to a communique by his electoral staff, Anatol Munteanu launches his bid for a deputy seat to defend the interests of the Romanians from abroad. Munteanu will strife to simplify the procedure of regaining the Romanian citizenship and of issuing visas for citizens from Moldova and Ukraine. He wants to open a legal office in Bucharest to provide free advice to Romanians living abroad. Anatol Munteanu has repeatedly stated he will fight for the Romanians outside Romania against red tape, that he considers to be the key problem in regaining the citizenship and getting visas. A former employee of the Romanian Ministries for Domestic Affairs and Defense, now he is a businessman, and vows to plead for equal rights for war veterans and combatants in the Transnistrian conflict and will ask for a minimum pension of 200 euros for the Romanian-Moldovan pensioners, the communique reads. Anatol Munteanu will take care of the Basarabian students studying in Romania, and will ask for merit scholarships of 200 euros for them. He will continue to support the intellectuals and businesspeople willing to step up their ties with Romania. Mr. Munteanu's team is made from international-scale professionals, aged 30-33, experts in law, society, finances, economy, business management, politically non-affiliated. Anatol Munteanu was born in 1948, on July 16, in Volontir village of Tighina county, in the family of Ilie and Ana Munteanu. He is a doctor of technical science since 1987.
