Wrestler Anastasia Nikita qualified for the semifinals of the European Seniors Weightlifting Championship of Bucharest after scoring three victories in the 57 kg weight class, IPN reports.

The 20-year-old athlete beat Germany’s Elena Brugger, Jowita Wrzesien of Poland and Norway’s Grace Jacob Bullen, who became European champion in 2017. In the semifinals, Anastasia lost to Ukraine’s Tetyana Kit.

In the 55 kg class, Mariana Draguțan won two victories and suffered two defeats. In the match for the bronze medal, she was defeated by the representative of the hosts Andreea Beatrice Ana.
