Moldova’s Anastasia Nikita has won silver in the 57kg weight class at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade. In the final, she lost to Japan’s Tsugumi Sakurai 2-3, IPN reports.

The wrestler beat Bulgaria’s Evelina Nikolova, Uzbekistan’s Laylokhon Sobirova, Odunayo Adekyoroye of Nigeria and Elvira Kamaloglu of Turkey in the 57kg weight class. She defeated Odunayo Adekyoroye also at the Tokyo Olympics.

As she ranked among the Top 5 athletes, Anastasia Nikita secured her presence at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
