Wrestlers Anastasia Nikita (59 kg class) and Irina Rîngaci (68 kg) became European U23 champions. In the final of the European U23 Wrestling Championship, Anastasia won against Poland’s Magdalena Glodek, while Irina beat Asli Demir of Turkey, IPN reports.
Mariana Draguțan (53 kg) also qualified for the final. She will compete for gold this evening against Germany’s Anastasia Blayvas. Mihaela Samoil (55 kg) won bronze after defeating Mariia Martynchuk of Slovakia.
The Greco-Roman wrestlers also distinguished themselves at the competition in Bulgaria. Artiom Deleanu (55 kg), Vitalie Eryomenko (60 kg) and Semion Brekkeli (82 kg) won bronze medals.
