Mark Tkaciuk left the Communist Party (PCRM) owing to misunderstandings with the party’s leader Vladimir Vorronin. Such a conclusion was reached by a group of analysts who were invited to the program “Replica” on Prime TV channel, IPN reports.

Journalist Valeriu Renita, who was adviser to former President Vladimir Voronin, said the PCRM witnesses a number of internal disagreements caused by Tkachuk, who is in fact a backstage leader who tried to take over the party. Tkachuk contributed to removing prominent persons from the PCRM, who were potential successors of Voronin. Owing to Tkachuk’s extremist radicalism, the PCRM’s popular approval rating and image were affected and the party was unable to form coalitions with other parties.

Political analyst Roman Mihaes also considers that the arguments with Voronin made Tkachuk leave the PCRM and vacate his seat of MP. “The mission in the PCRM of Tkachuk, who was Moscow’s man, failed. Tkachuk’s duty was to build a left-front in Moldova, with him playing the role of the main architect. Voronin simply didn’t want to be a tool in Moscow’s hands and then to be thrown away as a useless item. He realized on time that he was being exploited and decided to bring the manipulation to an end,” said the analyst.

Mihaes believes that Tkachuk is a backstage politician who is good at black PR and it’s time to hold him accountable for his extremist actions.

Political analyst Alexandru Cauia shared the opinions stated above and noted that Voronin learned a lesson as a result of Tkachuk’s acts. “I don’t think that Voronin would want to treat another person as closely as he treated Tkachuk,” he stated.
