Moldova has won a bronze medal at the World Sambo Championships that are taking place in Japan. Ana Repida won bronze in the 60 kg class, IPN reports.
Repida earlier won a gold medal at the World Championships and also medaled at several international tournaments. This year she has won bronze at the European Sambo Championships in Bucharest.
Another member of the national sambo team Valeriu Meleshkevich was eliminated after the first battles, while Sergiu Oshlobanu will enter the championships on November 23, which is the last day of the contest. The competition in Japan brought together over 500 athletes from 82 countries.
