A Justice National Institute (INJ) graduate, class of 2018, is accused of presenting himself as a judge and demanding 30 thousand euros from a man in order to solve a rape case for him, IPN reports.
The National Anticorruption Center (CNA) mentions in a press release that, last spring, the graduate, according to the whistle blower, convinced the latter that he could obtain his acquittal at the Court of Appeal. It is claimed that he demanded 20,000 euros for his "services". At the end of May, the Court of Appeal issued a conviction sentence and the intermediary asked for ten thousand euros to settle his case already at the Supreme Court of Justice.
Recently, the man addressed a complaint to the CNA, based on which a criminal prosecution for traffic of influence was initiated. On the evening of August 13, the intermediary was detained. If convicted, he risks a fine of four to six thousand conventional units or prison sentence of three to seven years.
