Amusement and good mood in central Chisinau

For one day, the grownups can reach the kingdom of childhood alongside kids through the events organized on the occasion of the International Children’s Day. Today, June 1, the central park of Chisinau is full of colors and fun. The celebrations began with a recreational performance entitled “Lonely and happy” that was followed by the drawing contest “Child smile”.

The organizers of the event set up five thematic areas: Smart Stoplights Area, with information about road safety: Info-Junior Area, with information for children about the role of public institutions in society; Rescuers Area; Danger-Free Area to prevent household accidents and Recreational Area, where parents can rest and do pilates.

Lines of children formed near the equipment of rescuers. Firemen helped kids put on gas masks and get onto firefighting vehicles. The SMURD ambulance also attracted a lot of children.

Open-air tennis fields were set up for the most active ones. There were also staged contests and masterclasses to make hats, paper compositions, etc.

Eugenia Maxim, manager of the program “Educator from Equal to Equal”, has told IPN that the platform siguronline.md organized two key activities – a speed test for parents to see how responsible they are when they allow the kids to have free access to the Internet and a test for children to determine how well these know the Internet usage rules.

“By these tests, we inform and encourage the children to be safe on the Internet. The idea comes from our portal www.siguronline.md where parents, children and teachers can find very useful information,” stated Eugenia Maxim.

In the Public Garden “Stephan the Great”, the children can have pictures with joyful mascots and can have carousel rides for 20 lei each.

The officials who attended the event wished the children a pleasant vacation and urged them to be prudent to avoid dangerous situations.

During the day, recreational programs are also staged on platforms in the districts of Chisinau municipality, while the Division for the Protection of Children’s Rights will organize different activities for children from community centers such as trips to museums and to the Park “Dendrariu”, poetry and wall newspaper contests, recreational games in the open air, reading lessons, etc.
