Last week alone Chisinau municipal workers carried out 121 trips to remove tree waste from residential areas and other spaces. In the last four months, a total of 6,500 trips were carried out, exceeding the annual average by one thousand.
Public amenities chief Igor Munteanu told the City Hall’s ordinary meeting on Monday that by the end of the month all the remaining tree waste will be removed.
As concerns the effort to prepare the housing stock for the cold season, Igor Munteanu said prophylactic piping and plumbing work was 85% done, hydropneaumatic cleaning was 77% completed, hydraulic control was 75% completed, and roofing repair work was 37% done, which is similar to previous years.
