The Youth Organization of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) is in favor of the party's reformation, while those who left the organization cheated, the Youth Organization's chairman Viorel Savva said during a news conference held at Info-Prim Neo on January 19. “The Youth Organization is not a separate entity. It has a place and a say in the AMN. We will actively participate in the reformation of the AMN and will start with the first meeting of the National Political Council of the AMN this year, which was scheduled for January 23,” Viorel Savva said. Speaking about former chairman of the Youth Organization Sergiu Baltaga's decision to leave the AMN and join the MAE, Viorel Savva said that it was a trick as neither Baltaga nor other leaders of the local youth organizations filed applications, asking to be excluded from the party. “We do not condemn Sergiu Baltaga. It was a normal step as he followed his uncle (Veaceslav Untila, the former first vice president of the AMN – e.n..). But we are indignant at the fact that he expressed the position of the Youth Organization of the AMN without obtaining the party's consent,” Savva said. Andrei Hancu, vice chairman of the Youth Organization, said most of the results achieved by the organization were due to the present composition, not to those who left. “When some of our colleagues were arrested by the police during protests, those who now break away were not among us,” he said. In a news conference held earlier the same day, the former chairman of the Youth Organization of the AMN Sergiu Baltaga and several leaders of the local organizations announced they leave the AMN and join the European Action Movement as the young people are not supported in the AMN, but used during electoral events only. The disagreements inside the AMN appeared after the eighth Congress of the party held on December 12, 2009. Then, the former first vice president of the party Veaceslav Untila and several of the delegates to the Congress left the assembly hall in protest against the way in which the AMN president was elected. One month later, Veaceslav Untila and other members of the AMN announced that they joined the MAE.
