The 12th edition of the American Film Days will take place at the Odeon Cultural Center on Eminescu Street in Chisinau during April 19-22. This year’s theme of the event organized by the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau is Sports and the Human Spirit, IPN reports.

The event is opened at 6pm on April 19 with the movie ”The Pride of the Yankees”. Two films will be shown the next day: “Invincible” at 5pm and “The Fighter” at 7pm.

On April 21, there will be screened “Hoosiers” at 2pm, “42” at 4:30pm and “Moneyball” at 7pm.

On the last day, April 22, “Cars 3” will be shown at 3pm, “Friday Night Lights” at 5pm and the last film of the 12th edition “Miracle” at 7:30pm.

“From basketball to boxing, baseball and American football – these films will make you want to renew your gym membership and show the world what you can do. The storylines are fit for Hollywood, but based on true stories. From Jackie Robinson breaking into the Major Leagues of Baseball to a basketball team from a small town in Indiana defeating the odds to win the big game, these films continue to inspire and remind us of how great we can be,” it is said in a press release issued by the U.S. Embassy.

Entrance to all the films is free of charge.
