The ambulatory trading units located in public areas in Chisinau that illegally use liquefied petroleum gas cylinders will be taken away by the district head’s offices. An order to this effect was signed by acting mayor general of Chisinau municipality Ruslan Codreanu, IPN reports.
The business entities will be additionally informed about the ban on the use of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders in trade and service provision without an authorization.
The order refers to apartment buildings too. The gas cylinders will be taken to a special storehouse of the Chisinau City Hall.
The blast that rocked an apartment building situated on Moscovei Blvd in Chisinau on October 6 claimed four lives, injuring three persons and damaging six apartments. All the persons who lived on the stair where the explosion occurred were evacuated. Eighteen of these were temporarily accommodated at one of the municipal hospitals.
As of October 7, the Municipal Central Dispatcher’s Office has received over 200 calls from people who reported cases of illegal use of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders.
