Ambassadors’ spouses fundraising for Moldovan children

Traditional dishes, handmade objects, souvenirs, Christmas gifts and personal things of the Diplomatic Missions’ staffs accredited to Chisinau are displayed at the 10th edition of the Winter Bazaar, taking place on Saturday, December 9, in the pavilion no. 2 of the "Moldexpo" International Exhibition Centre in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. The money collected will be used for charity. Project Coordinator Judy Goldman told Info-Prim Neo that 12 embassies and more than 20 international organizations attend this edition of the fair. "We don’t know yet how much money will be raised by the end of the day, but we hope that people will have a good time and learn about the other countries here in Moldova, and spend money and give it to our charity”, Mrs. Goldman said. Judy Goldman expects that the cash proceeds yielded from this year’s bazaar would be record-breaking, given that “there is no entrance fee, we don’t charge anything for the tables, and only the artists give us a small fee”. Donations can only be made at a bank’s desk, specially installed at the exhibition. The money will be used for supporting underprivileged children in Moldova. 5,000 dollars have been collected at the previous edition. This money has been used for charity, as well.
