The new ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Moldova, based in Kiev, Ki-chang Kwon, presented the copies of the letters of accreditation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.
During the meeting with Secretary of State Dinu Toderașcu, officials discussed the development of bilateral relations in various fields, cooperation within international organizations, intensification of trade-economic cooperation and extension of the legal framework.
In a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, it is mentioned that the two officials addressed issues related to the current stage and prospects of developing the Moldovan-Korean relations, including in the commercial-economic field, with a special focus being placed on the extension of the bilateral legal framework, especially as regards the commercial and investment aspects. Particular attention was paid to the technical and financial assistance provided by the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Moldova.
In addition to the bilateral issues, the two dignitaries exchanged views on political and security developments in the region and expressed a common interest in maintaining a constant dialogue at the level of regional and international bodies.
