The Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Moldova Bartlomeij Zdaniuk is sure that our country can become prosperous and predictable before the foreign partners and far-reaching reforms and will on the part of the political class are needed for the purpose. According to him, the snap parliamentary elections are an occasion for the politicians to meet people’s expectations, IPN reports.
The ambassador of Poland urged the politicians in Chisinau to draw their inspiration from the experience of other post-Soviet states that chose the European path. The diplomat gave the example of Poland in this regard.
“I’m convinced that the politicians who will win the elections will lose the citizens’ trust if they do not start to work. They must do so that the country is attractive first of all to the citizens and then, I assure you, the foreign partners will come with many interesting projects. It happened so in Poland, which 30 years ago was in an absolutely awful state. It is also the case of other states from the region. I’m convinced that the Republic of Moldova will follow the path to prosperity,” Bartlomeij Zdaniuk stated in the talk show “Emphasis on Today” on TVR Moldova channel.
The diplomat said the snap parliamentary elections offer the Moldovan politicians the chance to meet the expectations of citizens given that a genuine wish for change is seen in society.
The ambassador also spoke about the advantages of the European integration that were felt by Poland after it joined the EU in 2004 and noted that Poland recognizes the independence and integrity of the Republic of Moldova in its internationally recognized borders.
