Italy’s Ambassador in Chisinau Valeria Biagiotti is completing her duties in the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, she had a meeting with acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.
Aureliu Ciocoi thanked Italy for its assistance in promoting the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova and expressed the willingness to strengthen the bilateral legal framework in a number of areas, including social security.
The sides assessed the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation within international organizations, including the possibility of undertaking Italy’s experience in such sectors as energy efficiency, information technology, infrastructure and ecological farming. The acting Prime Minister said Moldova is interested in realizing its economic potential and increasing the Italian-Moldovan trade. The epidemiological situation in the Republic of Moldova was a key subject of the discussions.
The Moldovan official approved of Ambassador Valeria Biagiotti’s work in Moldova and thanked her for her contribution to promoting the Moldovan-Italian cooperation relations in a number of principal areas.
On December 23, 2020, in gratitude for her prodigious work as Ambassador of Italy in the Republic of Moldova, Valeria Biagiotti was awarded the Order of Honor.
