Ambassador of Germany welcomes objectives of Moldova’s Government

Germany’s Ambassador in Chisinau Ulrike Knotz welcomed the objectives of the Government of Moldova. In a meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the diplomat reiterated her country’s support for Moldova’s European integration efforts, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the two officials discussed items from the bilateral agenda and the actions that need to be taken to develop relations of partnership between the two states.

“The stabilization of the financial sector, strengthening of the state institutions and signing of a new agreement with the IMF are several of the Government’s top priorities,” stated Pavel Filip.

He noted that the fulfillment of all the commitments assumed in the relations with the EU and the strengthening of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Germany are also among the priorities.

The officials also discussed the projects implemented in Moldova with support from the Federal Republic of Germany, which were aimed at developing and strengthening the regional and local public authorities, supplying drinking water to some of the country’s regions and working out the strategy for integrating the minorities as a part of cultural democracy.
