The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration invited the Ambassador of Belarus Anatolii Kalinin to provide explanations over the references made to the Republic of Moldova following speculations about pictures of a map used in the meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry, in the discussions with secretary of state Ruslan Bolbocean, Ambassador Anatolii Kalinin said that officials of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus incorrectly presented the given information.
The secretary of state underlined the necessity of a public intervention for the Embassy of Belarus to trenchantly refute the disseminated incorrect perceptions.
The authorities urge to remain calm and vigilant and to obtain information only from official and credible sources.
On a map shown at a meeting of the Security Council of Belarus and President Aleksandr Lukashenko, one of the arrows showed the direction of the attack towards Moldova, to the Transnistrian segment.
