President Nicolae Timofti on October 9 presented the Oder of Honor to the Ambassador of Romania in Chisinau Marius Lazurca in gratitude for his special contribution to developing and extending the relations of friendship and cooperation between Romania and Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state thanked Marius Lazurca and the Romanian authorities for the support provided to Moldova on its path of European integration and for the substantial contribution to implementing a series of social, educational and cultural projects designed to contribute to increasing the quality of life in Moldova.

Marius Lazurca said he is honored to receive this award as it is a sign of appreciation on the part of Moldova of the Romanian Presidential Office, the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy working in Chisinau.
