Almost 500 people visited NBM on European Night of Museums

Nearly 500 people went to the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) on the evening of May 18 to discover the art and monetary history of the Republic of Moldova. This is the first time that the NBMjoined the European Night of Museums initiative, which this year reached its 20th edition. Two decades have also passed since the creation of the NBM’s exhibition hall, IPN reports.

The visitors had the opportunity to see the commemorative coins and banknotes and also thematic art projects and documentaries exploring cultural and aesthetic influences in monetary design.

The displayed gold ingot attracted and fascinated the visitors of all ages. The event was complemented by interactive presentations designed to enrich knowledge of the complexity of monetary art.

The National Bank has assured that it will continue to be an active partner in promoting financial culture and education in the community.

The European Night of Museums is at its 20th edition, being patronized by UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the International Council of Museums.
