Almost 400,000 students are taking part in Last Bell Ring festivities

The school year closing event – the Last Bell Ring – that is traditionally held on May 31 will be attended by 397,000 students all over the country. About 82,000 of them are secondary and high school graduates, Info-Prim Neo reports. In most of the schools in Chisinau, the festivities start at 08.30. Elena Rusu, head of the General Education, Youth and Sport Division’s public relations unit, has told Info-Prim Neo that the summer vacation starts after the Last Bell Ring. The ninth, eleventh and twelfth graders will be preparing for the exams. The first Baccalaureate exam – in the language of learning – will be taken on June 2. As many as 7,763 ninth graders, 1,531 eleventh graders and 6,983 twelfth graders will be taking exams in the municipality of Chisinau this year. There are over 1.400 preuniversity education institutions in Moldova.
