The staff working in cooking blocks of kindergartens in Chisinau will receive financial support from the municipal budget, in the total amount of 1,957,700 lei, IPN reports.

"There are 128 kindergartens attended by 32,151 children in Chisinau, and 608 staff units are available at cooking blocks, but only 560 of these are occupied. Respectively, there is a shortage of 144 employees," said the Chisinau City Hall.

The municipality noted that the problems are aggravated by the advanced age of the staff and the difficult working conditions, low salaries and tiring schedule. Owing to the high turnover of  staff, other employees had to be involved in works at cooking blocks.
