As many as 917 building permits were issued by the General Architecture, Urbanism and Lnd Relations Division of Chisinau in 2020-2021. These are document that authorize the execution of building works based on and by obeying the urbanism certificate for protecting and the designed and verified project documentation, IPN reports, with reference to the Chisinau City Hall.  

Fourteen permits in 2020 and 11 permits in 2021 were issued for building residential complexes. Almost 250 permits during the two years were issued for erecting individual houses. For commercial facilities, there were issued 11 permits in 2020 and 16 permits in 2021. Most of permits were given for laying out, reconstruction, repair and engineering pipe replacement works.

“The Chisinau local public administration in 2021 issued by 29% more permits than in 2020. As regards the permits of residential complexes, the number of these was by 15% lower than in 2020,” runs the press release.

The number of permissive documents issued by the municipality annually varies depending on the number of made requests. “It should be noted that a building permit is issued only if the documentation is worked out in accordance with the legislation and is accompanied by all the necessary authorizations. Otherwise, a building permit is not issued,” said the municipality.
