The National House of Social Insurance said the social allowances for particular categories of citizens continue to be financed. Recently, a sum of 26.6 million lei was allocated for paying one-off childbirth allowances, 26.9 million lei for paying child benefit up to the child’s age of two for uninsured persons and 119.5 million lei for paying child benefit for insured persons, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the institution.

There were also financed monthly support allowances for looking after twins (1.1m lei) and paternity benefit (2.2m lei).

Since the start of Ariel until present, the National House of Social Insurance transferred 2.307,11 billion lei for paying social welfare, such as pensions, compensations, allowances for temporary incapacity for work and death benefit.

The recipients can collect the money from banks or post offices, regardless of the place of residence.
