The allowances for pensioners and other persons with pensions lower than 1,500 lei will be higher. Parliament adopted a bill to this effect in the final reading, IPN reports.
Thus, the financial support of 50 lei was increased to 100 lei, that of 60 lei - to 120 lei, while that of 90 lei – to 180 lei. Until now, this benefit was provided to persons with pensions under 1,300 lei.
It was also decided to provide state allowances of 100 lei to each of the recipients of successor’s pension, of 180 lei to recipients of state welfare for persons with severe disabilities, with childhood disabilities and for disabled children younger than 18, of 120 lei to persons with accentuated disabilities and of 100 lei to persons with average disabilities.
The recipients of state social benefit for elderly persons and for children who lost the maintainer will also get by 100 lei. If both of the parents are lost, the allowance will be 200 lei.
The bill was drafted by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family. Asked by IPN, head of the Ministry’s press service Irina Caisan said the increased allowances will be paid from August, including for July. The law will be implemented at a cost of 824.7 million lei a year.
